At the core of the C400 is a Cummins L9 engine that delivers 1,324 lb-ft of torque. That power is supported by CMI’s proven dozer-design track frame and a D4 sealed and greased undercarriage built for demanding, continuous work. An efficient hydraulic system channels engine output into steady, controlled mulching performance—maintaining torque under load and consistent cutting power through dense vegetation, heavy material, and large-scale clearing applications.
